The City is looking for qualified vendors to perform specialty pump and motor support and repair services and maintenance on City equipment, buildings and assets on an as needed basis, to include conducting rewind, continuity testing, motor modifications and rebuilds, pump rebuilds and other repair and maintenance services for motors sized up to 200 HP and pumps of maximum outside diameter of 12 inches. Assets, for the purpose of this contract, shall be defined as any mechanical, electrical, controls, structure or component which requires service as instructed by the City. The services will cover the following items: all labor, equipment, tools, supplies, permits and fees to provide the listed services of a full machine shop; certified welding, fabrication and installation; motor service to include bearing replacement and rewinding; full service electrical, electronic and control installation connected with machine shop services; service and component repair; wiring, high and low voltage service (up to 600 volts) and installation. The City’s motors are predominantly AC, however, the Contractor may be required to occasionally perform work on DC motors as well.
