Work shall include but is not limited to the following. 1. Grading the site. The site is currently a grass lot. No trees are to be taken down as part of this work. Grading of the basketball court pad will be completed by others. Excess soils or stockpile may be stored onsite at a County approved location and be treated per the drawings. 2. Installation of all the erosion and sediment control measures identified in the attached drawings. 3. Construction of a commercial entrance. 4. Construction of a parking lot. 5. Construction of sidewalks leading to the basketball courts. No curbing is required. 6. Work shall be completed per Townes Site Engineering drawings dated July 9, 2024, attached. 7. The construction of the basketball courts and the fencing around them will be done by others (Custom Courts Construction) and is not a part of this solicitation. 8. The four corners of the basketball courts have already been staked. Contractor will be responsible for surveying/staking out the remainder of site. 9. Contractor shall coordinate closely with Custom Courts Construction and the County on this project. 10. The Contractor must contact VA811 prior to beginning any work. 11. A VDOT Permit is required for the commercial entrance with proper bonding. 12. A Land disturbance permit is required by the County, at no cost to the contractor. 13. We anticipate the possible phasing of work due to upcoming winter temperatures. 14. A written Notice to Proceed shall be issued by the Procurement Office prior to starting any work or mobilization of any equipment and materials on the site.
