This work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install a new, fully operational, traffic signal system at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Barrett Street. The scope includes, but is not limited to: • Removal and/or modification of existing signing and striping as required. • Installation of new traffic signal poles, mast arms, foundations, and anchor bolts in accordance with VDOT Road and Bridge Standards and Specifications. • Installation of signal heads and associated hardware. • Installation of new controller cabinet, controller unit, conflict monitor, cabinet wiring, and communications equipment. • Trenching, directional boring, conduit, pull boxes, wiring, grounding, and connections necessary for complete system operation. • Coordination with utility companies for protection of facilities in conflict with the proposed work. • Testing, inspection, and signal turn-on in compliance with VDOT requirements. • Restoration of all disturbed areas to pre-construction condition or better.
