This project includes the following: A. This work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to replace the existing traffic signal cabinet and controller at the intersection of Piedmont Drive and Lowes Drive. Any outage of the existing signal system shall be scheduled and coordinated with the City of Danville and shall be performed between the hours of 9:00PM and 7:00AM. The scope includes, but is not limited to: • Removal and proper disposal of the existing traffic signal cabinet, controller, conflict monitor, and related equipment. • Furnishing and installing a new traffic signal cabinet, controller unit, conflict monitor, cabinet wiring, and associated hardware in accordance with VDOT Road and Bridge Standards and Specifications. • Installation and/or replacement of conduit, pull boxes, and conductor as required for complete system operation. • Connection, splicing, and labeling of all wiring to ensure proper integration with existing signal equipment. • Testing, programming, and system turn-on to ensure proper operation of the new cabinet and controller. • Coordination with the City of Danville for inspections and final acceptance. • Restoration of all disturbed areas to pre-construction condition or better. The completed work shall result in a fully functional traffic signal control system meeting all applicable standards of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the City of Danville.
