Lead Remediation/Removal Service: Contractor shall confirm with Contract Administrator daily during the established Start and End Time of work performed that the range is shut down and secure to perform tasks. Contractor shall provide site access control, traffic control, and placing appropriate signage during work period. Contractor shall provide and install erosion control and storm water protection measures such as silt fence, waddles and hay bales to protect work areas, drainages and the environment as needed Contractor shall provide the following during the Lead Remediation and removal service: Soil shall be removed from the shooting ranges to a depth of 2’ or deeper within the impacted areas and screened on-site. Removal of 90% (weight percentage) of lead bullets and bullet fragments greater than ¼” as measured in sampling during excavation and processing of soil from the backstop berms. All soils shall be screened using Mechanical Separation Machinery to help reduce the environmental impact and generation of excess materials.
