1. Cover floors/deck to protect existing flooring/deck and surrounding areas from damage, dirt, and debris. 2. Demo and removal of existing units and fireplace and stone veneer. Removed materials and debris must be disposed of by the contractor. Materials and debris must not be placed or stored on interior or deck surfaces. 3. Reframing modifications as needed to reframe the new fireplace, installation of new stainless-steel fireplace (Majestic Sovereign 36” w/ black with glass bi-fold doors or approved equivalent). Specifications of equivalents must be submitted with bid. 4. Installation of ½” Durock with screws and tile installation of (Gleeze Grigio 2”x 6” - Morris Tile in Richmond VA) adhered using a latex modified thinset mortar with 1/8” grout lines to be filled with a non-sanded grout (color to TBD).
