Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract, to develop a design for a shaft handling fixture to be mounted to the NNSY Scheuerle model of Self-Propelled Modular Transporter(SPMT). The fixture’s sole purpose will be for removal and installation of naval ships propulsion shafts. This requirement is for commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101 and will be prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice.
The RFQ number is ___N4215825Q0064_________________. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2025-03 and DFARS Change Notice 1/17/2025. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 541330-Engineering Services and the Small Business Size Standard is 25.5 million. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns.

The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to begin 01 September 2025 through 31 August 2026.
