The contractor (as a company) shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and all necessary tools of trade to provide parts and perform services under the resulting contract. Be a licensed automotive business in Virginia Beach within 10 miles of the city’s main garage facility and be able to perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. If the Contractor is unable to comply within the designated time, due to factory delay, strike or any other unforeseen circumstances, the Contractor shall notify the City's shop supervisor of the delay and anticipated delivery time. Perform all work under the resulting contract at your physical repair facility. Be responsible for providing all parts furnished under this contract and these parts shall be new and OEM brand name, if available. If OEM Parts are not available, the contractor may substitute other manufacturer's parts with prior approval from the Fleet Manager or designee. The City reserves the right to supply items that may be required during the repair, and it also reserves the right not to use all items in the estimate by the vendor, if it is found that such supplies are not required by the City. Accessories not specifically mentioned herein, but necessary to furnish a complete service, shall also be included. Repairs shall conform to the best practice known to the trade in, quality of materials, and workmanship. Contractor shall not attach any advertising emblem or decal anywhere upon the units. All repair work shall carry a minimum of 90-day labor warranty. All parts shall be warrantied to the full extent of the manufacturer's warranty. Product acceptability will be at the sole discretion of the City. Any product delivered under this contract which does not meet specifications, or is otherwise found to be defective, will be returned at the vendor's expense to be corrected or refunded. The City reserves the right to request return of components which have been replaced by the vendor.
