Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall: 1. The Licensed Security Officer is to provide on-site security for all Virginia Beach Health department functions including after hours meetings, clinics and special events. (45 hours/wk x 52 wk.) + (18 hours/yr. for Health Advisory Meetings) + (Estimated 10 hours/mo. for other after hours events) = 2340 + 18+ 120 = 2,478. 2. The Contractor shall be available by telephone or pager twenty-four (24) hours a day in case of an emergency. 3. The Contractor shall provide and assign a permanent employee to this facility as well as train and provide a designated backup employee should the regularly assigned employee be unavailable for any reason. 4. The Contractor shall be a Licensed Security Officer. 5. The Contractor must have a background in law enforcement or a military background. 6. The Contractor must be licensed to carry a concealed weapon. 7. The Contractor shall provide contracted services during all normal business operating hours, plus special events and after-hour meetings, etc. as needed. 8. The Contractor shall conduct building checks after hours, holidays and weekends (fire, safety, vehicles, trespassing, etc.) as deemed necessary.
