Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1.1. Features shall be reviewed during onsite visits at three high schools, three middle schools and three elementary schools. Schools visited shall represent the majority of similarly constructed schools in the county.; 4.1.2. References for evaluating physical security shall be best practices for school safety and the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety School Safety Assessment.; 4.1.3. The current assessment shall be supplied by PWCS.; 4.1.4. Evaluation shall include an assessment of the use of magnetometers, or the recommendation of other solutions at high schools, as an effective means to deter/prevents weapons in schools such as training, signage or clear backpacks required.; 4.1.5. Evaluation shall include impacts in training, costs of equipment, staffing, and potential impacts on school transportation and school bell times.; 4.1.6. Current physical security features include: • CCTV; • Main entrance access control/AIPHONE/keycard access; • PA systems; o Strobes in music rooms; • Radios; • Emergency radios; • Staffed visitor entry vestibules
