Loudoun County Public Schools requests bids from buyers of obsolete buses under the following requirements and conditions. 1. Vehicles Details A. VEHICLES /BNUSES AVAILABLE - See Attachment “Obsolete Vehicle and Buses LIST” B. IDENTIFICATION OF VEHICLES All vehicles will be referred to by their District vehicle number, displayed inside and outside the vehicles. C. INSPECTION OF VEHICLES A bus inspection is recommended prior to offer submission. Buses may be inspected during the bidding period mentioned in Section III by appointment only by contacting Mr. Mark Seal at 571-252-1713, Mr. Paul Hooper at 571-252-1752, or Mr. Mark Maggitti at 571-252- 1711. D. NO WARRANTY Buses to be sold are purchased by the buyer “as is,” “where is,” and “with all faults,” and the District gives no express warranty nor does the District make any representation or implied warranty that the vehicles are of merchantable quality or as to the kind, character, or quality of the vehicles or that they can be used for any particular purpose. The District will not consider any claim for allowance of adjustment or for rescission of the sale based on the failure of the property to correspond with the standard expected. E. RELEASE AND REMOVAL OF VEHICLES All buses are immediately available upon District approval of award and of the bill of sale contract and receipt of full payment. The purchaser must remove all buses no later than November 25, 2025 unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the District. Any vehicles remaining after this date will be subject to: a) A storage charge of $50.00 per vehicle per calendar day or portion thereof after November 25, 2025. b) Resale and removal by the district. Any cost of removal will be charged to the party who has not removed the vehicles. Assistance for towing, starting, tire inflation, etc. may not be available from the District. Each purchaser shall make such arrangements as may be necessary with private contractors for these services. F. TITLE TRANSFER The District will prepare and provide the Agreement of Sale and the title; if the title can be found, it will be provided only after full payment and removal. G. LICENSE PLATES Any license plates used by the District will be removed before the sale to the purchaser. It shall be the responsibility of each purchaser to apply for, pay for, and attach any applicable license plates.
