Cones must be a minimum height of 36”. Color shall be predominately orange with 6” white reflective stripes. Cones shall be made of material that can withstand being struck by vehicles without causing damage to the vehicles. Cones shall meet VDOT compliance for night work per section 6F.75 of the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual, 2011, Revision 2.1 edition or latest edition. Barrels shall be constructed of lightweight, deformable material and shall be low intensity. They shall have a minimum height of 36” and a minimum width of 18”. Reflective stripes must be horizontal, circumferential, alternating orange and white measuring 6” wide. All reflective stripes must be in compliance with Section 247 of the latest version of the VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications Manual.
