Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Umpires shall be certified by the governing association and a complete list of the umpires verified as certified be provided prior to the season, along with any additional names added during the season. B. The Contractor shall ensure that all employees have gone through a satisfactory background check, including the National Sex Offender registry, to help ensure the safety of all program participants. C. Assignment of umpires to games to be called under the laws of the game (rule book) as set forth in the Amateur Softball Association of America, or equivalent, including any and all variations adopted by Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism Athletic Rules and Policies. D. A representative of the contractor shall conduct a seminar on the interpretation of rules prior to each season for the coaches.
