Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, fuel, tools, and incidentals as necessary to provide trained Equipment Repair Technicians to repair VDOT owned Snow Removal equipment (Dump trucks, loaders, motor graders, snowplows, spreaders, etc). The Equipment Repair Technician shall perform both scheduled repair work and emergency response repair work. As instructed by the VDOT Contract Administrator, work will be performed on a time and materials basis. The Contractors Equipment Repair Technicians shall be capable of diagnosing and repairing all types of Snow Removal equipment. The Contractor must provide transportation and diagnostic tools such as a laptop/scanner. Services provided shall also include failure analysis of defective components, as well as, providing technical expertise to VDOT personnel in the proper repair of this equipment, techniques, and the use of specialized tools and test equipment. The Equipment Repair Technician shall make accurate, reliable repairs that return the equipment to the original equipment manufacturers’ standards. The actual repair locations will vary.
