Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide the snow removal equipment listed with experienced, licensed operators, fuel, tools, parts, supplies, and all incidentals as necessary for safe and efficient snow removal operation. The work will consist of, but not be limited to, snow removal and ice control from Town maintained roadways. Work shall be performed on an as-needed basis on both primary, secondary and subdivision routes throughout the Town of Herndon. A. The Contractor shall provide the snow removal equipment listed with experienced, licensed operators, fuel, tools, parts, supplies, and all incidentals as necessary for safe and efficient snow removal and ice control operations as described herein. To ensure the overall safety of all personnel and the Town property involved in snow removal and ice control operations of Town maintained roadways, the Contractor is required to provide employees that are able to communicate in the English language. The employees are required to demonstrate that they are capable of understanding directions and task requests in English for safe and effective operations. B. Bidders shall offer Snow Removal Equipment and Operators in the number that they can supply for each line item. Bidders providing a bid on more than one (1) Line Item shall have a sufficient number of pieces of Snow Removal Equipment and Operators for each Line Item bid. No Bidder shall be awarded multiple Line Items using a single piece of Equipment. Failure to indicate the number of pieces of equipment offered for each line item of the required equipment type will result in the bid being determined as nonresponsive. C. No subcontractors are allowed. D. The Contractor is responsible for the conduct of all personnel while on the work site. All personnel involved with the work being performed shall obey all the rules and regulations of the Town. Inappropriate behaviors displayed by the Contractor's employees, including, but not limited to, addressing stopped motorists for personal gain, whistling or leering at, abusive or racial language will result in dismissal.
