Specifications include, but are not limited to: * The awarded vendor, along with the City's site representative, shall prepare post orders along with any specific facility procedures for each long- term , City site and shall be available to each security officer on duty. Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: > Monitor building security and fire systems equipment > Make patrols in accordance with established routes and schedules > Observe building occupants and visitors for compliance with facility rules and regulations. > Discover and detain persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to site. > Respond to unusual conditions or circumstances that pose a potential hazard or danger to personnel or property. > Maintain appropriate communication with vendor's supervisory personnel. > Obtain professional assistance in the event of injury or illness to facility employees or visitors while on the grounds or in buildings. > Escort a employee to a personal vehicle or provide personal security service to a facility guest when directed. > Turn off unnecessary lights, check safes, lock repositories and cabinets, close windows, open and secure doors and gates. > Prepare required reports on accidents, intrusions, threats and other unusual incidents and unlawful acts as required by the City and the awarded vendor. > Report any conditions such as, items in need of repair, lights or equipment not operating, leaky faucets or pipes, slippery surfaces, broken structures or equipment, or any other potential hazard. > Receive, receipt for, and safely store "found" articles, pending return to owner or other appropriate disposal. * At each work site, the awarded vendor will provide the City's representative with a list of post orders, a list of emergency contacts with telephone numbers, a weekly or bi-weekly schedule of hours and assigned guards, and periodic reports on the work-related services performed by each security guard assigned to the site.
