PART 1 - GENERAL 1.01 Related Work A. Furnishing all related work and material for demolition of existing terrazzo floor down to the existing concrete sub-floor providing a clean edge at the walls and any other edging. The concrete sub-floor shall be leveled with a maximum variation from level of inch in 10 feet and fill all cracks with semi-flexible joint filler. Apply membrane (spread at 40 mils thickness) across the crack allowing 12 inches on either side. Concrete floor shall be prepared mechanically by shot blasting or by grinding with Wolverine Scarifying Diamonds in accordance with ICRI Guideline No. 03732. Specifically, surface preparation results should achieve a CSP3-CSP5 profile. It is the contractors responsibility to properly dispose of the old materials. B. Furnishing and installation all related material for inch floor system. C. Furnishing and setting surface hardware. D. Concrete subfloor shall be prepared and broom-cleaned area to receive terrazzo of loose chips and all foreign matter. E. Sufficient water, temporary heat and light and adequate electric power with suitable outlets connected and distributed for use within 100 feet of any working space. Note: Ambient temperatures shall be maintained at minimum of 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
