The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide and deliver Reinforcing Steel per the attached Steel Material List (reinforcing steel schedule) to Pittsylvania County, Route 670 (Deer View Road) project site. Material: ASTM A615 Grade 60 Reinforcing Steel (Black bars) & Low-carbon, Chromium, Reinforcing Steel ASTM A1035/A1035M; a. Additional (75) pieces of #3 rebar (Grade 60), 40’ long to be included in overall bid (weight of additional bars (1128 lbs.) included in total). The additional 75 pieces is in addition to the quantities shown on the Reinforcing Steel Schedule and these pieces will not be bent per the schedule specifications. b. Steel specifications per attached Reinforcing Steel Schedule. c. Reinforcing steel to be cut and bent per attached specifications. d. All reinforcing steel shall be bundled and labeled according to the “mark” designation on the attached Reinforcing Steel Schedule.
