This goal seeks input on how respondents would develop an assessment of the housing inventory, housing conditions, and their geographic distribution. Analysis should consider three levels: (1) each jurisdiction individually, (2) the region as a whole, and (3) cross-jurisdictional comparisons. In addition to current conditions, HRPDC welcomes input on ways to assess trends in housing production, affordability, and funding mechanisms. Additionally, HRPDC is interested in examining the interconnections between housing and factors such as economic trends, regional development patterns, transportation systems, and environmental considerations. Topics for consideration under this goal include: A. Population and Household Characteristics. B. Housing Stock and Conditions. C. Housing Costs and Development Trends. D. Market Rate and Funding Gap. E. Economic Trends and Impact. F. Special Population Needs. G. Affordable Housing Resources. H. Housing-Workforce Connections. I. Transportation Access and Barriers. J. Environmental Risks and Resilience.
