Provide Mobile Crisis Response within the boundaries of Region 1, strategically located, to ensure a 2 hour or less response to crisis dispatch calls and consistent with DMAS regulations for this service. Mobile Crisis Response is a rapid response provided where the crisis occurs and provided according to STEP-VA Crisis Services, DMAS Crisis Service Manual, and DBHDS REACH Standards. I.Service Duration: authorized through a registration process for eight (8) hours. As (32 units) in a 72-hour period and submission of registration through the DBHDS data platform. II.Critical features: Provide recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate services, integrating the Zero Suicide/Suicide Safer Care principles; i. An approach to the individual in crisis that is sensitive to their cultural identity and demonstrates humility and respect for their lived experiences and preferences in participating in care; ii. Assessment and screening of behavioral health crisis needs, including screening for suicidal or homicidal risk; iii. When necessary and in any location where the individual may be located, DBHDS certified pre-screeners may complete screening for the purposes of involuntary commitment within this service; iv. Services are provided in community locations where the individual lives, works, participates in services, or socializes. Locations include schools, homes, places of employment or education, or community settings; v. De-escalation and resolution of the crisis, including on-site interventions for immediate de-escalation of presenting emotional or behavioral symptoms; vi.
