• Assist in the development of criteria to create school attendance area options • Conduct research on various topics and collect and assemble data with regards to redistricting • Utilize and analyze division enrollment projections, City and County growth projections, and demographic trends and their likely impact on WJCC’s facility needs, • Review long-range planning documents through 2035, such as the capital building program, its assumptions, its parameters and how it impacts redistricting, • Work with City and County GIS departments to determine student estimates, neighborhood locations, and impacts on bus routing • Utilize socio-economic information gathered during the most recent census available from the City of Williamsburg and James City County • Develop a public relations plan and accompanying materials, and coordinate and facilitate community engagement sessions • Create three (3) school attendance area options for each of the WJCC schools in consideration for redistricting. Each option should include: o One map of each proposed zone shall include a list of addressesto indicate boundaries, street names and intersections o One map of each zone shall indicate the number of students by grade level and socioeconomic status o One map of each zone shall show the natural boundaries to the extent possible o Provide Free & Reduced Lunch percentages by school for each option. The location of Free & Reduced Lunch households shall not be identifiable in any attendance area option o Ensure final school attendance area information is compatible and uploadable into the division’s TransFinder bus run/route assist data base
