Specifications include, but are not limited to: Offerors who can provide programs for classes and camps (summer, spring break, winter break), sponsored by the Town of Herndon Parks and Recreation Department (HPRD). These programs may be offered for preschool to senior adults in appropriate age groupings such as: preschool 2-5 years, youth 6-12 years, teens 13-17, adults 18 and older, and seniors 65 and older. The Herndon Community Center is located at 814 Ferndale Ave, Herndon, VA 20170. The facility includes an indoor pool with zero-depth entry, eight lap lanes and a separate diving well; a middle school-size gymnasium, fitness room and studio, arts and crafts room, a classroom equipped for preschoolers, catering kitchen, and multiple meeting rooms. Two meeting rooms have wooden floors and mirrors; one has a permanent ballet barre. The Herndon Community Center is adjacent to Bready Park, with a playground, lit synthetic turf soccer field, lit outdoor basketball courts, six lit tennis courts (3 covered seasonally), lit softball and baseball diamonds. There are ten additional parks in the Town of Herndon.
