Specifications include, but are not limited to: Middlesex County (the County) invites responses to the Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified firms (Offerors) to provide advisory/consulting services associated with the assessment, evaluation, procurement, selection, acquisition, and implementation of a comprehensive ERP software solution or solution(s). Quality systems and processes beget quality government operations and services. The County desires to embark on an assessment of its systems and processes to implement modern, integrated technological solutions and to adopt business process improvements and best practices to support quality government services. Following an enterprise-wide evaluation of our needs and the determination of the appropriate scope and strategy, the County endeavors to replace its current software systems environment with a new ERP system, or combination of related software systems. The County desires the scope of services to include, but not be limited to, the following: A. Evaluation | Assessment | Process Improvement The County desires this process to be highly inclusive and collaborative, a. Gain an understanding of the organizational structure and capabilities. b. Understand and evaluate the County’s existing systems, operations, and processes. c. Conduct business process mapping and identify process improvement opportunities. i. Benchmark against recognized government and public sector best practices. ii. Understand and incorporate applicable legal and regulatory requirements of the County. d. Communicate recommendations verbally and in a written report and provide cost estimates associated with the recommendations and a proposed timeline for implementation.
