The awarded Contractor(s) shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, materials, supplies, parts, equipment, transportation, record documentation, and other associated work and responsibilities necessary to perform general contracting services for specific projects. Fire and Rescue Station 8: The new Station 8 in Goochland County, Virgina, is a 15,850 SF single story structure. The facility includes 3 drive-through apparatus bays, associated bay support spaces, living quarters, bunk rooms, and a meeting room. The structure is supported on traditional spread footings and is composed of load bearing concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls. Pitched roofs are supported by light gauge metal trusses with steel bar joists spanning the low slope roof areas. Primary exterior finishes are brick veneer, cementitious lap and panel siding, and cast stone accents. Sloped roofs are standing steam metal with a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane at low slope areas. Interior partitions are a combination of painted and ground face CMU. Interior finishes include polished concrete, carpet, rubber tile, and epoxy flooring; acoustic tile and painted GWB ceilings; ceramic wall tile; and laminate and solid surface casework. Building systems include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, air purification, and BAS. Site construction includes stormwater management features, paving, lighting, landscaping and installation of a well for domestic water as well as an alternative septic system for sanitary.
