A. Specifications: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver (9 sections) of Precast Concrete Structures under these Specifications. Shall be a Single 12’-0” Span X 5’-0” Height X 45’-0” Out/Out Width Box Culvert. (See sample sketchAttachment A). Units to consist of nine (9) 5’-0” Sections. 1. Precast reinforced concrete structure shall have the following dimensions: Span 12’- 0” (Perpendicular to walls) Height 5’- 0” Width 45’- 0” (Out to Out) [9 Sects. @ 5’-0” = 45’-0”] Skew 0 Degree 2. The precast structure shall be designed for HL-93 loading capacity with 0’ – 0” to 2’- 0” fill. 3. The precast structure shall contain the following: • Precast Box Culvert Sections. • Precast Scour Blocks • Corrosion Resistant Reinforcing Steel, Class I • Preformed 1” x 1” Elastomeric Closed Cell Neoprene Gasket for joint seal. • Shall meet VDOT Precast Concrete Products QC & QA program. • On-site technical assistance. • Load Rating and Design Calculations in accordance with IIM-S&B-86.4, certified by a Registered Professional Engineer licensed to work in the State of Virginia.
