The Town of Glade Spring, Virginia (“Town”) is requesting sealed proposals from qualified Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firms to provide pre-audit services to prepare the Town’s financial records for an independent audit for fiscal years 2023, 2024, and 2025, including a Single Audit in compliance with federal funding requirements under 2 CFR Part 200, Subpart F. The Town seeks pre-audit services to ensure financial statements, supporting schedules, and grant documentation are complete and audit-ready. Services may include, but are not limited to: 1. Review and reconciliation of accounting records, ledgers, and fund balances; 2. Assistance with year-end closing entries and adjustments; 3. Preparation of supporting documentation and schedules required for audit; 4. Review of grant-related transactions and Single Audit readiness; 5. Recommendations to address gaps or compliance issues prior to audit; 6. Coordination with Town management and the independent auditor to ensure a smooth transition; The Town anticipates that pre-audit work will begin as soon as practicable following award.
