1. Upset Recovery Training is required for a total of nine (9) pilots. 2. Training should be conducted at an airport located within Virginia that will allow for Upset Recovery flight maneuvers. It is highly desired that each pilot experiences various unusual attitudes and the required recovery techniques. 3. The Contractor shall furnish an airworthy aircraft and safety equipment for the training. The flight instructor must hold a current FAA flight instructor certificate. 4. Training should address the following topics/skillsets: • Energy Management • Reinforcement of Aircraft Control Fundamentals • Fundamentals of Unusual Attitudes • Recovery Techniques 5. Total training time allotted per pilot should be a minimum of one (1) hour and should be completed within two (2) days, weather and flight conditions permitting. The one (1) hour training time is a baseline for flight time. Actual total flight time will be pilot specific, as the desired outcomes are paramount. Each pilot may need more or less time based on individual skill, and weather/winds encountered during each flight. Ultimately, the amount of time dedicated to flying during the proposed training should be sufficient enough to allow the pilots to grasp the fundamentals of the training subject matter.
