The Project consists of the select replacement of column capitals, and selective repair to column wooden stave shaft. There will be selective repairs to architrave beam. After repairs and replacement, cleaning, prepping, and repainting shall occur to all elements of the front portico, matching to existing in kind. This project involves repairs and replacement of the architectural features of the existing Petersburg Union Train Station’s front portico from the roof line down to the column base. There will be documents provided addressing repairs through detail drawings. There will also be documents and drawings for the replacement of the portico that is deteriorated beyond repairs. Due to the historical significance of the building, materials in kind will be used for repairs and replacements.
