The City intends to contract, with multiple vendors, for youth and young adult services to have offered structured mentorship, conflict resolution and community intervention programs and services that support the Parks After Dark program to foster a safe environment and assist in addressing potential conflicts, behavioral issues, and community-building efforts. Such programs for youth and young adults, ages 6 through 21 beginning May 2025 – April 2026 will promote positive youth development and strengthen participants’ connections to their communities. Contractors will focus on ensuring that youth and young adults who reside in Green Run, College Park and Western Bayside communities are equipped with supports, opportunities and services that promote safety and violence interruption. This will be achieved through on-the-ground support to youth and young adults attending the Parks After Dark Program, and the subsequent administration of programs that result in or directly contribute to measurable improved developmental outcomes.
