The scope of services shall include the installation and communications linkages of hardware and software that will support the total microtransit and paratransit systems which shall have the functionality requirements described below. The system shall be installed, tested, and conveyed to HDPT as a “turnkey” system; this will include training of HDPT management and staff until they are familiar and comfortable with the system’s operations. 3.1. MOBILE DATA TERMINAL HARDWARE 3.1.1. The system MUST have: a. Backlight (possibly adjustable) for night driving b. GPS Odometer accurate to at least industry standard c. Industry standard shock tested for durability that can withstand the rigors of daily use d. Backup power to maintain driver login information as well as manifests when vehicle is turned off 3.1.2. The system SHOULD have: a. Adjustable volume capability for audio output 3.2. MOBILE DATA TERMINAL SOFTWARE 3.2.1. The MDT software system MUST be able to do the following: a. Upon power-up, prompt for driver login credentials and odometer reading b. Display system status on the MDT (such as network/connectivity and GPS statuses) c.
