Understanding the University’s existing Banner ERP system derived from: a. background information provided, b. general knowledge of Virginia Tech’s ERP system, c. knowledge of the effort required in implementing and sustaining SaaS ERP environments in large higher education institutions based on experience, and d. attending the vendor information session hosted by the University’s ERP project team on Monday, November 20 2023 1-2:30 pm ET, 2. Objectives and high-level requirements for a new ERP system 3. High-level cost estimates for both the ERP implementation and ongoing operational costs for three years after implementation of Workday, Ellucian Banner, and Oracle Cloud, including software, licensing, consulting and other associated costs. 4. High-level timeline estimate for the implementation project, outlining key milestones and dependencies. 5. Recommendations for risk mitigation and cost optimization.
