A. The provision of consultation services as outlined in the Commonwealth of Virginia Health Department, Office of Emergency Medical Services Rules and Regulations, to include general areas of quality assurance and medical oversight of members and agencies of the department. The Contractor shall attend meetings as necessary to provide these services. B. Providing coordination, general direction, and serve as chairperson of the Hanover County Emergency Medical Services Medical Control Board (EMSMCB), which consists of the Operational Medical Directors for all Departmental EMS Agencies located within the confines of Hanover County. C. Overseeing the compliance of county-wide medical policy as approved by the EMSMCB and directing medical policy for members of the Hanover Fire/EMS Department. The Contractor shall be responsible for necessary drafting and review of medical policies and associated correspondence. D. Providing consultation regarding appropriate training, continuing education, and quality assurance programs for county-wide programs approved by the EMSMCB including specific consultation for the management and medical control of all members within the department. E. Providing consultation and recommendations relating to all aspects of Medical Control for County-wide issues, and shall further be responsible for direct medical control of the department. F. Providing general consultation and direction to the Chief of Fire/EMS and his staff regarding any issues relating to medical control and direction of patient care issues. G. Providing appropriate medical protocols to be utilized during a declared emergency and serve as on-line medical control during unusual events as requested. H. Providing other assistance to the County as may be required to meet the County's program goals and objectives.
