Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of online legal research services for the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission (VIDC). The term of the contract will be from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2013, with an option to renew for an additional three-year period. The VIDC is reviewing options to provide on – line legal research services for up to 500 subscribers. Subscribers are defined as public defenders, office managers, appellate secretaries, and other designated agency personnel. Public defenders and supporting staff currently use online legal research services to support the research necessary for effective client representation.
