a. Provide a registered pharmacist with two (2) or more years of experience on-site and ensure there is a registered pharmacist available in case of unexpected sick leave, and emergency, or scheduled time off. b. Ensure that all clinical staff serving clients under the contract have participated in training on the endorsed Recovery Model. The selected contractor will adhere to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administrations (SAMHSA) to (10) Guiding Principles of Recovery. c. Provide for dispensing supplies of prescribed medications in 1 to 90-day supply at a time with refills but not more than 180-day supply without a new physician prescription. d. Enforce compliance with the established formulary through a predetermined process. RBHA and the successful Offeror will finalize the process prior to an award. e. Collaborate and consult with clients, medical and psychiatric staff to provide patient education regarding medications uses and interactions, healthy living and other related topics. f. Provide, when requested, in-service training to the RBHA designated staff on, but not limited to, the following subjects; drug security; documentation and sanitation standards for medication administration; education on specific medication use and therapeutics; medication management and medication repackaging training for individuals who have successfully completed a board-approved training program for repackaging of prescription drug orders as authorized in § 54.1-3420.2 of the Code of Virginia. g. Provide the following components: i. Use liquid/dissolvable psychotropic medication when required. iii. Monitor psychiatric medications including Clozapine, as ordered. The selected contractor will dispense weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly supplies in compliance with current APA and Clozapine National Registry Guidelines. iv. Provide a specific formulary when required with prior authorization.
