Volleyball Court Components: Excavation of area for courts Installation of gravel and filter fabric layers Installation of course sand Installation of fine, game-quality sand Installation of game elements: nets, poles, borders, edging, etc. Construction Requirements: • Contractor shall provide court materials, means and methods for installation in writing, using shop drawings or diagrams as appropriate, prior to the project being approved for work to begin. • Court materials and installation methods shall be in accordance with the specifications for beach volleyball courts generally accepted by local volleyball clubs. • Court dimensions shall be as illustrated in Figure 2. • The City reserves the right to inspect all materials before installation or after installation. The City Park Manager reserves the right to reject any unacceptable materials. Maintenance & Warranty: • Warranty: The contractor shall be required to provide the City of Lynchburg a one-year replacement warranty for all courts provided and installed for this project. • Maintenance guidance and instructions per manufacturer shall be provided to City Staff in writing. • Maintenance after installation shall be performed by City Staff in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
