The project is generally described as the buildout of the approx. 1,300 sf security suite within the renovation of the existing Seefeldt Building, on the Woodbridge campus of Northern Virginia Community College. The overall building is a 144,898 SF 4-Story Building of Type IIB Construction. The security suite build-out includes an open office, storage rooms, locker rooms, breakroom and a waiting/ reception room. One restroom within the suite and part of the sergeant’s office are considered existing and not part of his scope. Tie into mechanical, electrical and security systems is within scope. The perimeter of the security suite framing and exterior side gypsum/ballistic wall reinforcement is outside of scope. The project does include some ballistic protection for walls separating the waiting reception and one door. Interior partitions, doors, and finishes are to be provided along with other Work indicated in the Contract Documents
