The Contractor will be responsible for the full development of one (1) annual Summer Camp Catalog and four (4) quarterly Enjoy Arlington Catalogs, including all aspects of design, layout, and production. Each issue will feature approximately 200 or more class and camp entries, which the Contractor will assemble and format using content provided by the County. Final deliverables must be produced using current versions of professional design software, such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and must meet print-ready and digital compatibility standards as required by the County’s contracted printing services and website host. The Contractor will collaborate with County staff to develop alternate design scheme concepts if ad redesign is deemed necessary by the County and ads will vary in size depending on available space and the number of events, with approximately ten to fifteen (10- 15) ads anticipated per publication and must demonstrate strong design skills through brand fluency and graphic storytelling. I. SOFTWARE AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: A. Design Software The Contractor must utilize professional-grade design software to complete the required work. This includes the most current versions of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. B. Work Environment and Equipment The Contractor must assist County staff with supplemental design projects, which may include, but are not limited to, posters, brochures, digital mastheads, and advertisements. The Contractor is solely responsible for maintaining an independent and professional work environment. This includes securing all necessary accommodations, hardware, software, and equipment required to complete the scope of work. The County will not provide office space, equipment, or software access. C. Experience and Portfolio Requirements The Contractor must demonstrate, through samples and references, specific experience working with clients on similar projects, at a minimum, over the previous ten (10) years. Samples should indicate successful performance of past work including proofreading acumen; experience in developing designs that have been integrated into both print and digital publications/promotions; and ability to keep to schedules/timelines. The Contractor must demonstrate strong design skills through brand fluency and graphic storytelling and submit samples that include: • Proficiency in proofreading and attention to detail • Successful integration of design work into both print and digital formats • Ability to meet deadlines and manage project timelines • Strong design capabilities, including brand consistency and visual storytelling
