The North Quebec Outfall Repair project will stabilize the existing outfall and steep slope located behind the pump house at 2801 N Quebec Street. This site is located at the bottom of the Rixey Branch watershed, and significant erosion has occurred due to high overland flow during large storm events. A series of channels and step pools is proposed to encourage safe conveyance and minimize future erosion. Two 18" tall retaining walls are proposed (one along the driveway of 2799 N Quebec Street, and one behind the driveway of 2801 N Quebec Street) to facilitate adjacent channel grading. The pump house's existing paver driveway will be replaced with concrete, and the driveway at 2799 N Quebec will be resurfaced with concrete. Three curb inlet throat extensions are proposed in the intersection of N Quebec Street and N Randolph Street to capture more runoff during larger storm events, and an additional 24" RCP pipe is proposed to convey water between inlets 1172 and 1158. Other proposed improvements include sidewalk, grass strips, curb and gutter, asphalt repair, and landscaping.
