A. ACPS needs professional mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) engineering and architectural services for evaluations, investigations, analyses, recommendations, cost and time estimates, testing, reports, studies, designs, preparation of documents, field inspections, and investigations. B. The successful Offeror awarded a Contract as a result of this RFP, if any, must have sufficient organization, personnel, and management to provide the Scope of Services required and meet the performance criteria listed in this RFP. The Selected Offeror shall be responsible for the professional quality, technical accuracy, and coordination of all designs, drawings, specifications, and other services furnished by the Contractor under this contract. The Selected Offeror shall, without additional compensation, correct or revise any errors or deficiencies in its designs, drawings, specifications, and other services. C. All services shall be performed in compliance with industry standards and all federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations. The services to be provided shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Professional involvement throughout all phases of the project, including but not limited to the development of programs; preparation of reports; periodic progress reports/meetings; processing of invoices for service; timely processing of project correspondence, Consultants’ requests for payment, and material and equipment submittals. 2. Other types of professional and non-professional services of a nature consistent with the intent of this RFP, as so directed by ACPS. D. Services shall include architectural and engineering services required and/or necessary for approvals, permitting, construction, and occupancy of the project. The following list of performance criteria shall be considered ACPS’ project requirements, though the list is by no means to be considered exhaustive: 1. Integrate learning, design, sustainable design, and environmental stewardship so that it supports and enhances student learning and student success; 2. Meet measurable high-performance criteria to be LEED Gold Certified per U.S. Green Building Code or better; 3. Provide building systems that are durable, straightforward to operate/control, and are easily maintained; 4. Consider Indoor Air Quality, Thermal/Acoustic/Visual Comfort, and Universal Design standards beyond the minimums required by building code; and 5. The result shall meet ACPS’s needs and its partners’ needs and provide an exceptional learning environment.
