Virginia Housing will relocate approximately 100 staff from the 4240 Cox Rd, Glen Allen VA 23060 facility to 4840 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Contents will include, but are not limited to computers, phones, printers, monitors, rent-a-crates, boxes, task chairs, file cabinets, whiteboards, cork boards, shelving and other miscellaneous contents. Phase 1 will include 1 commercial size refrigerator and Phase 2 will have 2 residential size refrigerators. The move phases and dates will depend on the construction schedule provided by the general contractor at the new, “to location”. The current schedule is to relocate approximately 50 staff on Friday, June 13th (Phase 1) and the other 50 staff on Friday, August 8th (Phase 2). It is also expected that the move services will start on Fridays at 8:30 and into Saturday until completion if necessary. Between the phase 1 and phase 2 moves Virginia Housing will begin removing remaining contents left in the 4240 Cox Rd facility for disposal or donation. After phase 2 all contents must be removed from the property to meet our final vacate date of September 1st. Virginia Housing is purchasing office furniture for our new location, so we anticipate about 30 offices worth of case goods being left behind. Contents will be office furniture such as desks, bookcases, credenzas, various tables, file cabinets and chairs although other miscellaneous items may need to be disposed of or donated. There is a records room on the 1st floor of 4240 Cox Rd that has approximately 16 vertical fireproof file cabinets and miscellaneous boxes that will be relocated to our 4224 Cox Rd building next door on the 2nd floor.
