A. Utility Disconnection and Termination 1. Disconnect all utilities (electrical, water, sewer, telecommunications, etc.). 2. All electrical disconnections must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. 3. All electrical circuits must be safely terminated to ensure no exposed live wires remain. All other utilities, after being disconnected, shall be terminated or capped off properly. All utilities shall be terminated back to the brick school building and not terminated in the open. 4. All other utilities, after being disconnected, shall be terminated or capped off properly. 5. Contractor shall coordinate with the County’s Facilities Division and appropriate utility providers prior to any disconnections. B. Removal of Mobile Classroom Units 1. Dismantle, transport, and remove both mobile classroom units and associated features (ramps, decking, steps, skirting, tie-downs, etc.). 2. Dispose of or recycle all materials at a properly permitted facility. 3. Maintain a safe and secure work zone at all times. C. Site Restoration 1. Fill and grade disturbed areas to match surrounding conditions. 2. Reseed or stabilize soil with grass seed or other approved material. 3. Leave the site clean, level, and free of debris and hazards. D. Permits and Inspections 1. Obtain all required permits for removal, transportation, and disposal. 2. Coordinate necessary inspections with the County and applicable authorities.
