A. The Contractor shall: 1. Be licensed (in good standing with the Virginia Board of Medicine) in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Medical Doctor (MD) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) working in a group practice or practicing individually; 2. Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP); 3. Provide the necessary required clinical oversight to permit RN/LPN staff to function in their respective roles and scope of practice governed by the VA Board of Nursing; 4. Upon review and approval, sign off on OTC medication standing orders in order to allow nursing staff to administer as needed; 5. Upon review and approval, authorize (CLIA) routine waived testing to be performed by nursing staff (i.e. strep, glucose, urine, etc); 6. Upon review and approval, sign off on emergency treatment protocols implemented by nursing staff;
