Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Copywriting: The Contractor will assign to this project a professional travel and tourism copywriter who has been based in the Arlington/Washington, D.C. area for at least the last two years. ACVS will provide the copywriter with themes/subjects about which to write and will approve draft and final copy according to a mutually agreed-upon production schedule. • Graphic Design: The Contractor will assign to the project a professional graphic designer. ACVS will provide the Contractor with StayArlington Brand Guidelines, logos, photography, map designs, business listings and other resources, and will approve page layouts, drafts and final designs according to an agreed-upon production schedule. In the event an advertiser requests assistance with the design of their ad, the Contractor will provide complimentary advertising design services to purchasers of StayArlington ads, where needed. • Printing: The Contractor will provide recommendations for paper stock, folds, samples of finished materials and proofs according to an agreed-upon production schedule. ACVS will provide edits and approvals according to the same schedule. • Advertising Sales: The Contractor will assign one or more advertising sales staff to the project and will propose advertising rates and discount structure for the printed materials and digital advertising. (Upon selection, ACVS will provide feedback on the proposed advertising rate and discount structure and will work to finalize mutually-agreeable rates.) • Shipping: The County will pay the Contractor once per 12-month term of the Contract, for the cost of shipping the printed StayArlington materials, to a list of destinations that the County will provide to the Contractor. The County will make no other payments to the Contractor under this Contract. The Contractor will provide the County an estimate of the shipping costs, and obtain approval by the County, before shipping each year’s materials. The County may decide, based on the estimate, to pay a third party to ship the materials instead.
