The EDA requests proposals for legal representation that will protect the EDA’s interests, provide legal counsel and associated services such as document preparation (including grant agreements, bond and loan documents, and contracts and instruments related to the purchase, sale, and leasing of real property), representation in matters arising or needing to be filed in all Virginia and Federal courts, and any and all services needed to complete required tasks and to fulfill the scope of services. Required services include: 1. Availability to attend, when required, regular and special EDA meetings. Regular meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Albemarle County Office Building at 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville. 2. Draft and review contracts, grant agreements, memoranda of agreement or understanding, bylaws, rules and procedure, proposed ordinances and statutes, legal pleadings, and other legal documents, and provide legal advice and opinions regarding the same.
