Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation with one qualified offeror, herein referred to as “Contractor”, with the technical background and museum computer interactive experience to produce an interactive kiosk in the expanded legacy area at Jamestown Settlement that counts visitor votes on five themes, tallies results and displays real time responses. Contractor will take this project from design and concept development through installation. This interactive element will be installed as an integral component of physical renovations to the Legacy Exhibit. 1. The scope of this project is the planning, concept development, creation, production (including acquisition of media either through production or license), audio components, graphic design, computer programming and editing, equipment recommendations, final installation and 24-month maintenance agreement of computer interactive elements for the Legacy gallery, scheduled to open in June 2024. 2. Gallery design, fabrication and equipment purchase, and installation shall be contracted to thirdparty vendors under separate state contracts or completed in-house by JYF staff. 3. Computer interactives must be consistent in colors, typography and other design elements with the exhibition designer. 4. The Contractor shall demonstrate experience through past work and references that document Contractor’s ability to provide at various complexity levels concept development, content and concept integration, interactive design and product specification, coding/programming of content layers including animation, artwork, graphic, audio and all elements related to full computer interactive production, installation, implementation, and maintenance. The Contractor shall have experience working with museum, education, and attraction audiences. 5. The Contractor shall provide a proposed pay schedule, tied to key deliverables of the project. The contract proposal shall be all-inclusive. All “reimbursables” shall be included as an allowance for media licensing, travel, phone, per diem in the proposal. No additional fees will be considered by Agency after contract is awarded. 6. The Contractor’s interactive kiosk proposal should be presented at three levels in concept and cost to allow the Foundation to prioritize based on available funding. Each concept proposal shall have a base (basic interactive), mid (enhanced with additional layers of interactivity) and high (optimal level of graphic impact and visitor interactivity) level for consideration to allow for budgetary flexibility.
