DEBRIS: a. The Contractor shall be responsible for reviewing the areas, prior to mowing, and picking up any litter and debris materials that would possibly damage equipment or cause harm to the public. b. The Contractor shall remove debris from the work area and dispose of debris at an on-site disposal location as identified by the VDOT Representative. VDOT will be responsible for the final disposal of the debris. 4. GRASS HEIGHT: Grass shall be mowed to a height specified by VDOT between one- and one-half inch (1½") to three inches (3") and shall be mowed in such a fashion as to exhibit a uniform appearance without skips, scalping or uncut areas. 5. TRIMMING ("WEED EATING"): a. Grass shall be trimmed from around all structures, equipment, stored materials, sidewalks, fencing and landscaping fixtures. b. Grass shall be trimmed each time mowing is performed and shall be included in the pricing for mowing. c. All trimming/weed eating shall be completed so that all grass is even with the grass cut by the mower.
