Trimming, Pruning, Weeding, Fertilizing, Mulching and Landscaping Maintenance 1. The Contractor shall trim all trees as required to maintain a neat appearance to include removal of low-hanging branches (10' or less from the ground), dead or low branches blocking walks and drives, limbs within 10' of a structure, and any sucker growth. 2. The Contractor shall prune and cut back all dead and unattractive growth on perennial plants on an as needed basis in order to maintain a neat appearance and promote healthy growth. 3. The Contractor shall prune or shear all shrubs as needed to maintain a neat and even appearance. 4. The Contractor shall clean up and remove all debris from the campus concurrent with pruning and/or trimming services. 5. Upon request from LRCC, the Contractor shall apply a quality pre-emergent herbicide to all mulched areas in sufficient quantities and practices as deemed appropriate by the product label. 6. Upon request from LRCC, the Contractor shall provide and spread high quality hardwood mulch to designated areas on campus with a 2" thickness. The Contractor shall be responsible for any removal of excess mulch (exceeding 2"). All soft edging between turf and mulched beds must first be clearly defined by border trenching and soil must be removed, as necessary, to create a lasting edge between the turf and mulched areas...
