A. The Contractor shall own/operate a landfill/site, which accepts asphalt, concrete, waste/dirt, soil, stumps (less than 36”), brush, leaves, animal carcasses and trash. The landfill site or recycling center shall be operated in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, standards and ordinances. B. The landfill/site shall be located within Isle of Wight, Suffolk, Southampton, Surry, Sussex Counties. C. VDOT will haul waste material to the Contractor’s landfill/site. D. The Contractor shall provide a printed or legible written ticket to the VDOT driver prior to them departing from the landfill/site. The ticket shall reference the date and time, description of delivered material/waste and its origin and the VDOT truck number. E. The unit price per truckload shall be entered on the pricing schedule as applicable to truck size and contents. The unit price per truckload shall cover all associated cost for disposal (environmental fees, equipment fees, fuel, etc.). No extra charges will be allowed. F. Once the material is dumped at the Contractor’s landfill/site, it becomes the property of the Contractor. G. The Contractor shall provide VDOT drivers with two-way radios or cell phones in the event they need to communicate with them while at the landfill/site.
