Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. PHASE I – Children’s Day Care and Community Center The gross square footage of the Facility is 25,095 sq. ft. The Facility is open seven (7) days a week and is heavily used by the public. The Contractor should be aware that this schedule of heavy use does impact the amount of cleaning required and makes scheduling of periodic and special cleaning difficult. The Children’s Day Care Program averages 400 children per day and there are occasional night and weekend rentals for public use. There are approximately 14 unique classrooms with restrooms and small canteens. Other area are administrative, arts and crafts rooms, children’s gym, activities room, and public restrooms. See Exhibit “C-1” for floor plan of Phase I.All areas are to receive full cleaning services Seven (7) days per week. Between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am. The Facility hours are as follows:Monday – Friday: 5 am – 10 pmSaturday – Sunday: 8 am - 8 pmThis Facility will be open every day of the year with the exception of Christmas Day. B. PHASE II – RECREATION CENTER AND NATATORIUMThe gross square footage of this Facility is 80,871 sq. ft. including mechanical room. This Facility consists of a 12,793 sq. ft. Olympic Competition Pool, Children’s Pool and wading area, full size basketball court, exercise areas and equipment, rock climbing wall, oval exercise track, and other amenities. The Natatorium is to be cleaned under this Contract with the exception the electrical room, pump room, and stadium seating (will be cleaned by County Day Porters). The vendor will be responsible for cleaning flooring of stadium and glass partitions once weekly. Special cleaning will be requested for deep cleaning one(1) or two (2)times per year during the annual maintenance shutdown of the pool areas. The County will request a quote from the Contractor for this additional work. The deep cleaning of tile surrounds, bleacher areas, and all adjacent areas will be as per Industry Standards. Pool Maintenance and cleaning is not included in this Contract. The Contractor will clean the stadium seating, flooring, and all fixtures including glass partitions every Saturday evening. The cleaning of the exercise equipment and rock climbing wall will not be included under this Contract. The floors, mirrors, and surrounds are included and are to be cleaned nightly by the Contractor. The approximate square footage to be cleaned under this Contract nightly is 40,000sq. ft. for this Phase. See Exhibit “C-2” for floor planThe Facility hours are as follows:Monday – Friday: 5 am – 10 pmSaturday – Sunday: 8 am - 8 pmThis Facility will be open every day of the year with the exception of Christmas DayThe frequency of anticipated large swim meets were previously one (1) large event held during each summer month and two (2) large events for the remainder of the year. These events can bring up to 1000 visitors per event but current schedule of these events is TBD.C. Phase III – SENIOR CENTER The gross square footage of this Facility is approximately 15,700 sq. ft.excluding the mechanical room. This facility is comprised of multi-use rooms including arts and crafts, exercise rooms, community rooms, full-sized commercial kitchen for food preparation for Senior Programs and rentals. See Exhibit “C-3” for floor plan.The kitchen and dining room floors shall be cleaned daily by the Contractor (1 day porter) to Loudoun County Health Department specifications with the Contractor also responsible for nightly cleaning. The Facility is open Monday through Friday for regular daily activity and is frequently rented by various groups on Saturday and Sunday and weeknights on occasion. The Contractor should be aware that this schedule of heavy use does impact the amount of cleaning required and makes scheduling of periodic and special cleaning difficult. The Senior Center Program averages 250 Seniors per day and the large banquet room is used frequently weekend nights and weekends by private parties.The Facility hours are as follows:Monday – Friday: 9 am – 5 pmTuesday Night – up to 8 pmSaturday – Sunday : Subject to periodic rentals
