Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a term contract(s) for Irrigation Systems Maintenance, Repair, and Parts of for all departments and activities of the County of Fairfax for the requirements ; This contract provides for irrigation system maintenance and repair services, and the purchase of repair parts for various County agencies. All services and parts will be for existing irrigation systems. New systems will not be purchased off of this contract. Individual projects will rarely exceed $50,000 in price and will be of the nature for which it is impractical to provide detailed specifications. Part 1 – Repair Parts: Bidders shall quote the unit price, unit price after discount and percentage for each item in Part 1. Each bidder is requested to attach for each sample line item in Part 1, one copy of one Manufacturer’s List Price or Retail Price Sheet, clearly marking the item and column to which the discount is applied. FAILURE TO PROVIDE PRICE LISTS COULD BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF THE BID. IF COUNTY STAFF CANNOT IDENTIFY THE ITEM ON THE PRICE LIST OR THE RETAIL PRICE SHEET, AND VERIFY THE BIDDER’S BID PRICE, THE BID MAY BE REJECTED FOR THAT LINE ITEM. Part 2 – Miscellaneous Parts: Bidders shall quote the percentage discount for each item in Part 2. The Manufacturer’s List Price or Retail Price Sheet is not required to be submitted for this part. The percentage discount shall remain firm for the duration of the contract.The Contractor shall advise the Contract / Project Manager a minimum of three (3) working days in advance of the date that work is to commence. Any overtime work scheduled (after 4:30 p.m. and weekends and holidays) will be arranged with the Project Manager 48 hours in advance. The Contractor shall not start work without prior approval of the Project Manager. 4.1. Part 1- General Irrigation Systems Maintenance and Repair Services including, but not limited to spring start-up, winterization, troubleshooting & repairing backflow preventers, controllers, rotors, valves, piping & wiring, installing new parts. Additionally, map and provide drawing of existing irrigation systems on an as-required basis. 4.2. Part 2 - Pump Station Maintenance and Repair Services including, but not limited to, troubleshooting & repairing pump controllers, small in-line booster pumps, larger in-line centrifugal pumps, and large vertical turbine pumps, wet wells, intakes, valves & controls, install new parts.
